Capital Thermal has built a strong presence at Heathrow Airport across two major packages. Our first project with BAM Nuttall, saw thermal insulation, trace heating and aluminium cladding installed across the refurbishment of the main and cargo access tunnels serving Terminals 1, 2 and 3, with our team working shift patterns around tunnel closures to maintain safe access and stay to programme.

The second project, delivered airside within Terminal 2, involved thermal insulation, fire-rated insulation and trace heating across a passenger gate and access point expansion, completed on time and within budget, and our first airside project since the pandemic. We worked alongside Designer Group and Ferrovial Construction throughout, meeting the added logistical demands of a live aviation site.
